Syncing with SmartSync

If you have an on-premise system like Sage 50, and with Zahara in “the cloud”, we need a mechanism to get data in and out of Zahara without you having to download or upload CSV files. The answer to this is our on-premise tool, SmartSync. It effectively builds a replica of your important data on your local network and acts as a staging post to either put the data into something we have pre-programmed up – like Sage 50 or Pegasus Opera or allows you to get at the data and move it into your systems more easily.

SmartSync is a two-way sync – the clue is in the name! So any data you provide in the right format and place in the right location can also travel into Zahara.

Client Facing API

Zahara can work with developers to enable third party system integrations. Our customer-facing API has full functionality to enable the Get & PUT of all Zahara elements. We can provide sample code and access to a Git repository upon request.

Power BI Reporting

Our reporting API allows access to your data for reporting purposes. We make available a range of datasets using this swagger URL. The key dataset is the line-items that show all purchase order and invoice line items fields that can be easily pivoted into various reports. The data is updated nightly so is perfect for Power BI or any other reporting software.

Purchase Order Processing

When it comes to buying, Zahara can be used completely standalone. With data staged, your colleagues can raise purchase requests that become purchase orders. You can report on this from within Zahara to see what’s awaiting approval, what’s been delivered and what’s awaiting invoicing. There is no requirement to sync any of this data with a finance system and as a rule, we don’t transfer purchase orders into the finance system unless the customer needs stock updating.

Invoice Processing

The advanced and automated invoice processing in Zahara is easy and fast to use. The invoices we receive generally need to be passed over to the finance system so ledgers are updated and profits calculated. We have some customers who use Zahara for invoice payments only but the vast majority are syncing their Purchase Ledger invoices into the finance system together with the PDF record of the invoice. This is the main item to check for integration.
