Zahara ethics policy
Zahara is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct in every aspect of our business operation. We recognise that as a provider of accounts payable automation we are in a position to handle sensitive information about our clients. This policy outlines how Zahara nurtures a culture of integrity and accountability in our business operations, both in the workplace and when dealing with stakeholders.
Our commitment to integrity
At Zahara we believe that business should be honest and carried out with integrity. Every employee at Zahara is expected to uphold these values by:
- Providing truthful, accurate and transparent information in all business dealings
- Never misrepresenting or deceiving in dealings with employees or stakeholders
- Always delivering the highest quality work, work that best serves our clients and stakeholders
Confidentiality
We know data security is important to our clients and we commit to keeping all sensitive information confidential. To back up this commitment we:
- Use robust security measures to protect all sensitive information
- Treat our clients and their data with respect
- Never disclose or misuse confidential data for any purpose other than the service we are contracted to provide
Compliance and legal
Our solutions are designed to not just meet, but exceed regulatory requirements and ensure that our clients stay compliant too. Zahara is committed to conducting operations inside the law. That applies at the national and international level and includes but is not limited to:
- Accurate financial reporting
- Responsible data management and privacy
- Adhering to industry standards
Fair business dealings and transparency
Fairness is a quality we at Zahara value greatly. We strive to see that all our business dealings are built on mutual respect and trust. To do this we approach business in these ways:
- Without bribery, corruption or unethical influence
- Transparently, with open, clear communication about product offerings, pricing and our software’s uses.
- With professionalism at the core of what we do
- With respect for the differing and diverse perspectives of the people we do business with.
Conflicts of interest
All Zahara employees, partners or contractors representing our business should avoid conflicts of interest. That includes any action that could compromise their judgment or influence their decisions. To do this we demand that:
- Do not use their position for personal gain and act in the best interests of the company
- Disclose any relationships, connections or activities that may present a conflict of interest to management as soon as the conflict is noticed
Accountability
At Zahara we encourage employees to act with accountability. We want to nurture a culture where our employees feel that they can comfortably report instances of unethical behaviour, instances of law breaking or any breaches of this ethics policy. To support this we will:
- Offer anonymous channels for reporting legal or policy breaches if needed
- Ensure the delicate handling of any employee who feels the need to come forward with information
- Treat violations of law or this policy with disciplinary action and, where applicable, the involvement of law enforcement
Sustainability and CSR
At Zahara we believe that ethical business isn’t just about operating in compliance with laws and regulations. We understand that it also involves making a positive impact on society and the environment. In line with that belief, where it won’t negatively impact business operations we strive to:
- Include sustainable practices in our operations and take steps to limit our impact on the environment.
- Support the communities in which we operate through initiatives aimed at benefiting social well-being and economic health.
Zahara’s promise
We lay out this ethics policy with the aim of building trust in our business, both internally and externally. We believe that trust to be a cornerstone of our success in the market and the key to forming long-term relationships with our clients, employees and partners.
