Purchase Order Updating Project Code & Line Items Version 3
Quote from johnrossmurray_amc on July 3, 2023, 7:49 amHi there. When using the Version 3 of Zahara, when we update the project of an order it doesn't update the line items autoamatically like it did in version 2. We often update orders with correct prices so it has been quite confusing recently when we update the project on the order but the line items remain on the older project. At the moment we would have to update the project as well as go through each line manually to update the project code which can be monotonous and time consuming. Can you look into this please and advise?

Thank you for your query.
In version 3 of Zahara, the ability to update the project for all line items by changing the project at the document level, is currently only available for invoices. If you change the project at the document level you are then asked if you would like to also update all the line items to match or if you would like to keep them the same. This is to allow for users who may wish to have multiple projects attached to a document across different line items.
This functionality is currently in development for purchase orders as well.
In the meantime you can still update the project for all line items in one go by switching the line item section to the 'table view'. You can do this by clicking the little table icon above the line item section, it is the last icon on the right hand side just next to the 'import from CSV' option. You can then select all the line items using the very top check box on the left hand side and then clicking the 'update lines' option. You then just need to select projects from the dropdown list and choose the new project to apply.
You will notice there are a lot of options to select here that will allow you to bulk update your line items, without the need to change each one individually.
I hope you find this information useful. If you require any further support or would like some more detailed instructions then please raise a support ticket and one of our engineers will get back to you shortly.
Kind regards,
