Unexpected Chrome / Edge Logout Issue – “Couldn’t find user for current refresh token”

Some users might experience performance issues or interrupted sessions while using Zahara due to browser power efficiency settings. Specifically, when tabs are put to sleep or are inactive which can lead to session timeouts or other unexpected behaviour.

To resolve this issue, it is recommended to ensure that the browser does not put Zahara’s web application (myzahara.net) to sleep, especially when using Edge or Chrome.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click on the three dots (ellipsis) in the top-right corner of the browser.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. In the left-hand menu, click on Performance.
  5. Scroll down to the section labelled General.
  6. Under Always keep these sites active, click on Add.
  7. In the dialog that appears, enter https://www.myzahara.net and click Add.
  8. Close the settings tab. Chrome will now ensure that Zahara’s site remains active, even when it’s not the current tab.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click on the three dots (ellipsis) in the top-right corner to open the browser menu.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. In the left-hand panel, click on System and performance.
  5. Scroll down to the section labeled Optimize Performance.
  6. Find the option labeled Never put these sites to sleep and click on Add.
  7. A dialog box will appear. Enter https://www.myzahara.net and click Add.
  8. Close the settings tab. Now, Edge will keep Zahara’s site active, preventing the browser from putting the tab to sleep.
